Sakemate, a widely known distributor from Melbourne, Victoria – started 11 years ago, with a mindset of providing the best, quality, and premium alcohol beverages. 

The founder, Akito Kurakawa whom moved to Australia from Japan – has always missed his home country’s alcohol – as there were only a small number of suppliers back then.

From finding his personal need, leading to a passion where he guides individual, Japanese & non Japanese restaurateur, to pick the most suitable alcohol beverage, where it’s enjoyable and pleasant to be drank. 

Since then, he has worked with over 100 breweries from Japan and started his journey here, his new home, Melbourne.
